Purchased exists to provide rescue, relationship, resources, and recovery to women in the sex industry and victims of sex trafficking.

The sex industry is a multi-billion-dollar worldwide industry. It affects every city, every town, and every corner of the world. The sex industry, defined, is any business that either directly or indirectly provides sex-related products and services or adult entertainment. In practice, it is the buying and selling of sex or sexual activity through strip clubs, online escort businesses and websites, street prostitution, and forced sexual slavery, otherwise known as sex trafficking. Through the sex industry, people become products. Women become a commodity, and children become a means to a financial end. God did not create anyone to be sold. No one on earth was designed to be bought and traded for sex. We believe that it must be stopped, and we are fighting to make a difference.

It is no secret that the city of Las Vegas is famous for celebrating sin. However, as Jesus followers, we know that what is applauded in our city is heart-breaking to God. One of those things is the abuse and exploitation that is experienced by individuals trapped in the sex industry. A risk analysis study by the Justice Department shows Las Vegas as 1 of 17 cities nationwide most likely to be a top destination for trafficking victims. This need is great, but our God is greater. Our desire as a church is to push back the darkness by raising awareness of the needs that exist in this arena and assisting women and children in finding freedom, full restoration, joy, self-sufficiency, independence, and worth.

The strategy of Purchased has four components: rescue, relationship, resources, and recovery. On the tabs below, you can learn more about our plans to implement this strategy in the city of Las Vegas in the months to come.

Meet the director of Purchased LV

Brittany Payne has lived in Las Vegas for the last 30 years and has a deep love for the community in this city. Brittany's heart for the outcast has led her to serve in key leadership roles with other organizations seeking to rescue individuals trapped in Sexual Abuse and walk with them on the road to recovery.

Brittany earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in accounting from Baylor University in Waco, TX where she met her Texas-native husband, Cole.  Cole and Brittany spend their spare time wrangling their 3-year old son, Barron.

As a part of the Hope Church Family, Brittany is excited and ready to jump in and help get Purchased Las Vegas off the ground, and she is expectant for all the Lord will do through this ministry!

'NEFARIOUS' movie SCREENING - JULY 23

In order to better equip our church to tackle the issue of sexual exploitation, Purchased will be screening the very powerful documentary, "Nefarious: Merchant of Souls". This documentary provides an in-depth look, through the eyes of both the enslaved and their traffickers, at the human trafficking industry and exposes the nightmare of sex slavery as experienced daily by hundreds of thousands. Due to the content of this film, it is only appropriate for ages 18 and above. Following the screening, we will also be hosting a panel discussion with key local leaders working to fight human trafficking. Childcare will be provided.
