When Gods Directive Seems Strange
"By faith Noah, being warned by God about the things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark..." - Hebrews 11:7
What does it take to trust in something you have never seen? It has been said that the best way to describe faith is this: "Faith is not taking a step into the dark but into the light." Faith is not blind. Faith means having absolute trust without doubting. Think about the faith of Noah. He built an ark, and it had never rained on earth! God said build it, and he did. What would cause a man to do such a thing? Noah's closeness with God was not by accident or coincidence. His time alone with God was healthy and active. He knew God and obeyed God even when God's directive seemed strange. Believe God when He directs you to do something out of your comfort zone, and then ask Him for courage to follow.
