“Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the nations, and I will sing praises to Your name.” – 2 Samuel 22:50
As David nears the end of this great song of praise, he credits all his victories to God. It was a faithful God who delivered him from his enemies. It was a faithful God who protected him from his enemies. It was a faithful God who exalted him above those same enemies. And it was a faithful God, not David, who brought vengeance on those enemies. David was thankful to God, so much so that he wanted all the nations to know of God’s faithfulness. David’s celebration of God’s faithfulness to his servant was not to be confined within the narrow limits of Israel. His praise was to be proclaimed among the nations with the intention of bringing others to the knowledge of God.
In what ways are you sharing the faithfulness of God in your life with others who don’t know God at all?
